Volunteer Committee Members wanted!
We are looking for volunteers to help out at a strategic + planning level by joining one of our committees as a community volunteer. Danny’s Place is at a key point in our growth trajectory - currently we serve approximately 400 young people from Acton and Boxborough each year; through our Growth Campaign, we project to grow that to 3,000 young people per year over the next five years. This is an extremely exciting time to join our organization, as there are so many opportunities to engage as the organization grows new programs, new program initiatives, and grows organizationally to match these needs.

We are seeking volunteers who have skills, experience and interest in the following areas:
Community Engagement + Outreach: collaborate on opportunities to raise awareness of Danny’s Place, within the Acton Boxborough community
Events Support: to help plan fundraising, friend-raising, recognition and other events throughout the year
Development Support: experience or interest in developing effective fundraising strategies through expanding our annual appeal, growing our local support, and continuing to update cultivation opportunities for existing donors
Commitment Expectations: Availability for weekday meetings, usually 1-2 times per month, a mix of in-person and virtual as well as email collaboration.

About Danny’s Place: Danny’s Place is a space for young people to connect, get inspired, and grow. Founded in 2006, in the heart of the Acton-Boxborough community of Massachusetts, Danny’s Place is a loving tribute to Danny McCarthy, who in his short life taught all of us the importance of living fully. We provide young people with experiences to explore, create, and discover their happiest, healthiest selves - through inclusive community programming, social-emotional experiences, and supportive resources.Danny’s Place serves young people ages 8-18 who live or go to school in Acton and Boxborough. We provide a safe space for young people to be their full authentic selves.
